Remarkable location
Seeland
Seeland focus Copenhagen, Roskilde, royal castles and very cut shores, but the island also keeps low countryside, beech groves and quiet fjords. Around Roskilde, shallow water, Viking boats and shore villages give a concrete reading of Danish maritime history.
อาสนวิหาร
Roskilde Cathedral
The cathedral of Roskilde In its red brick several centuries of royal funeral architecture, chapels, tombs and successive transformations make it a concrete reading of Danish political history.
พิพิธภัณฑ์
Viking Ship Museum
The museum preserves five Viking ships found in the fjord and shows how their hulls were assembled. The workshops and the boats rebuilt on the port make the visit of archaeology move to a true culture of navigation.
Place indismissible
Fjord de Roskilde
The fjord of Roskilde forms a very soft landscape of shallow water, reeds and small islands. A boat or bike trip reveals a maritime countryside that contrasts with the city's monuments.
