The Village at Grand Traverse Commons re-employs a former psychiatric hospital in a living neighbourhood, between shops, restaurants and residential areas. The reconversion architecture allows us to read how historical equipment can become a full-use area. The transformation is visible from the outside, without losing the memory of the place.
