Town or village
Wieliczka Mine
The Wieliczka mine leads underground through salt galleries, wells, underground lakes and carved rooms. His most notable moment is the chapel of Sainte-Kinga, where altar, chandeliers and reliefs carved in salt transform the mining history into almost ceremonial decoration.
Town or village
Bochnia Mine
The Bochnia mine offers a soberer underground experience and more mining than Wieliczka, with long corridors, salt chambers and routes sometimes animated by train or boat. It is suitable for travellers who want to feel the depth of the work rather than just looking for the carved decor.
Town or village
Saint Kinga’s Chapel
The Chapel of St.Kinga is the most famous room in the mine of Wieliczka, entirely shaped in salt. Biblical reliefs, polished soil, chandeliers and mineral altars create an unexpected religious space, buried in the heart of an ancient network of galleries.
