Giới thiệu chung
Andong and Hahoe
Confucian villages, academies, courtyard houses and riverscapes preserve a major rural memory of the Joseon period.
To understand what Andong and Hahoe are, you must look at the folk village of Hahoe, Dosan Seowon Academy and Byeongsan Seowon Academy. These places give us a landscape marked by countryside, heritage, riverscapes and forests and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.

Village
Folk village of Hahoe
Hahoe occupies a meandering Nakdong between noble houses, cottages and fields, under a wooded cliff. The village remains inhabited and requires a careful visit to private spaces, while masked dances prolong a local tradition that is very identifiable.
Place indismissible
Académie Dosan Seowon
Dosan Seowon rises above a reservoir in a landscape of quiet hills north of Andong The small study buildings, the courses and the tablets tell the Confucian teaching with a sobriety that contrasts with the royal palaces.
Place indismissible
Académie Byeongsan Seowon
Byeongsan Seowon looks at a river and a cliff from a set of open pavilions. Architecture precisely frames the landscape and reveals how study, retreat and nature were thought together in the Confucean academies of Joseon.
