On the north-east shore of Deep Creek Lake, this state park of more than 450 hectares combines swimming, fishing, canoeing and hiking or mountain-biking trails, through an oak and hickory forest that regrew after 20th-century logging. Its Discovery Center presents local wildlife, including the black bear, the history of coal and logging, and life on the lake.

Swallow Falls State Park
Swallow Falls follows a valley of the Youghiogheny where Muddy Creek Falls is spread in the middle of ancient fir trees. The circuit connects several falls with a simple legibility, perfect for a short day. Water, relief and forest give a strong feeling of freshness.
