Huangze Caves, Falaise with Thousand Buddhas and Guangyuan Museum give the most telling landmarks of Guangyuan and Huangze Caves. Together, they form a destination where urban life, heritage and riverscapes meet, with atmospheres that change over the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

Hundreds of carved niches dominate the old road on the edge of the Jialing. An early-in-the-day visit allows you to better observe local usages and the details of the place, while avoiding some of the groups and traffic.
