Oahu
Oahu brings together Honolulu, Waikiki, Pearl Harbor, volcanic ridges and the North Shore in a space where city, surfing and tropical landscapes are constantly touching each other. The island is suitable for travellers who want to alternate museums, guarded beaches, short hikes and coastal roads, with marked differences between the busy areas and the quieter areas.

Waikiki Beach
Waikiki Beach concentrates the most urban image of Hawaii: light sand, surfboards, hotels in the background and Diamond Head laid at the end of the bay. The water generally accessible makes it a good terrain for the first surf courses, while in the evening the beach turns into a lively walk in front of sunset.

Diamond Head
Diamond Head, or Lsahi, forms the crater that closes the horizon of Waikiki east side. The path to the side alternate tunnels, stairs and views of ever wider Honolulu, the south coast of O'ahu and the Pacific, with a light often sharper early in the morning.
Culture and heritage
Iolani Palace
Iolani Palace gives a rare historical depth to Honolulu, since it was the residence of the rulers of the kingdom of Hawaii. The living rooms, stairs, portraits and royal objects tell a sophisticated island monarchy, then its reversal, in a much more intimate setting than its official status suggests.
