Temples, villages and wooded ridges make up one of the four sacred Buddhist mountains of China.
To understand what Jiuhuashan is, you must look to Mount Jiuhua, Temple Huacheng and Pic Tiantai of Jiuhua. These places give us a view of a territory marked by mountain reliefs, heritage, forests and the countryside and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.

Jiuhuashan is dedicated to the Dizang bodhisattva and covered with monasteries between valleys and peaks. Shuttles, cable cars and steps connect remote areas which require at least two days. The weather and the condition of the trails remain decisive.

Huacheng is the central temple of the village of Jiuhua and one of the oldest in the massif. The square and daily rituals show that the site remains a living place of pilgrimage.

Tiantai Pic of Jiuhua
The Tiantai area gathers high perched temples and stairs on the ridges of the massif. Altitude, fog and repeated walks make the excursion more demanding than it seems. The weather and the condition of the trails remain decisive.
Village
Village de Jiuhua
The central village gathers inns, temples and services in the heart of the sacred massif. One night you can observe the life of the pilgrimage before the arrival of the excursions. The beginning of the day usually offers more calm.
