To understand what Quercy, Rocamadour and Padirac are, you have to look at Rocamadour, Gouffre de Padirac and Villages du Lot. These places provide a landscape marked by countryside, heritage, natural spaces and riverscapes and allow you to move from iconic sites to more intimate stages.

Rocamadour is read by the juxtaposition of its steep site and its village fabric: stairs, gazebos, vertical alleys. Gradually climbing, one understands the relationship between stone, local fairs and view of the valley. The late morning light enhances the reliefs.

To Gouffre de Padirac, the visit begins with a spectacular descent into a natural opening, before reaching galleries, underground river and illuminated concretions. The contrast between the light surface of the causse and the fresh, humid and mineral universe of the underside gives the place its strength.

Saint-Cirq-Lapopie
Saint-Cirq-Lapopie hangs his stone houses above the Lot, with steep alleyways, tight roofs and diving views of the valley. The village is better discovered by accepting climbs and breaks, as each terrace reveals another relationship between cliff, river and medieval structure.

Figeac offers a continuity of historic sites and neighbourhood routes, where each detour brings a different angle. Street atmospheres become stronger when you avoid the race. An early visit highlights facade materials and urban structure.
