Vergers, vineyards and historic villages occupy a fertile valley surrounded by two long ridges.
To understand what Annapolis Valley is, you must look to Grand-Pré, Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens and Fort Anne. These places give us a landscape marked by the countryside, riverscapes and heritage and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.

Grand-Pré The site is slowly visited between gardens, statues and views of the land gained on the sea, where Acadian history remains attached to the soil itself. The site is a place of great interest to the people of the region.

The historic gardens of Annapolis Royal are a number of styles of gardens, from Acadian plots to Victorian compositions, on a flowery and very legible journey. Roses, perennials, fruit trees and vegetable gardens tell the evolution of taste and uses, with a particular richness from spring to autumn.
Culture and heritage
Fort Anne
Fort Anne Annapolis Royal dominates with its uplifts, cannons and views of the Annapolis River. The site recalls the French, Scottish and British rivalries around Port Royal, but it is mainly the promenade on the ramparts that gives shape to this story.
Place indismissible
Look Off
Look Off opens a wide panorama of the Annapolis valley, orchards, fields and waters of the Minas basin. In clear weather, the gaze goes to the Grand-Pré lands and opposite reliefs; at sunset, the colours highlight the plots and dikes.
