Massif of moors, ridges, waterfalls, caves and market villages, softer than Eryri but very rich in hikes.
Pen y Fan, Waterfall Country and Llangorse Lake give the most telling landmarks of Bannau Brycheiniog / Brecon Beacons. Together, they form a destination where mountain reliefs, natural spaces, riverscapes and the countryside meet, with atmospheres that change over the course of the stages rather than a single uniform decor.

The site also has a historical dimension thanks to the crannog, a reconstructed old lake house near the shore. It is a soft place to alternate easy walking, bird watching and open views of the reliefs.

Carreg Cennen Castle
