Biržai's discovery is based around Biržai Castle, Kirkilai Tower and Vache Cave. The stay thus alternates between urban life, shores and lakes, heritage and natural spaces, giving a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only best known site.

Biržai Castle
The castle of Biržai It is a bastioned fortress rebuilt on the edge of Lake Širvėna, with ditches, ramparts and inner courtyard. The museum tells about the Radziwiłł family, wars and local life, in a very different defensive setting from the classic Lithuanian manor houses.

Kirkilai Tower
Kirkilai Tower, designed as a vertical boat, dominates a mosaic of small lakes formed in karst dolines. From the top, the strangeness of the landscape becomes clear: water pockets, meadows and round hollows signal a still moving basement.

la Vache Cave
The Grotte de la Vache shows the work of the gypsum dissolved under open sky Biržai. This deep doline, surrounded by paths and barriers, gives a direct picture of the local karst: a soil that subsides, digs and gradually transforms the countryside.
