Bodrum superimposed the contemporary port to the ancient Halicarnasse, the Carian capital of Mausole. Built by the Hospitallers from the 15th century, the castle Saint-Pierre dominates the port of Bodrum. Its towers and its former chapel welcome a museum ensemble dedicated to underwater archaeology.
