Valley Bourg
Hebden Bridge
Hebden Bridge clings to the slopes of the Calder Valley, with stone houses, bridges, a canal and streets that rise dry. The village has a very legible creative energy in its cafes, bookstores and small shops, without losing its industrial relief.
Wooded valley
Hardcastle Crags
Hardcastle Crags dives into a forested valley where the trails follow water, soft stones and wet slopes. The path to Gibson Mill gives a good rhythm to the visit: under trees, stream sounds and changes of light count as much as the building itself.
Literary village
Haworth
Haworth climbs through a paved street lined with dark facades, bookstores and pubs, with the moors nearby in the background. The village remains linked to the Brontë sisters, but the visit is not limited to the presbytery: the slope, the cemetery and the wind immediately set the tone.

Saltaire
Saltaire is discovered by the regularity of its workers' streets, its clear stone buildings and the old spinning plant which became a cultural place. The walk along the Aire Canal and River helps to understand how this industrial village was thought of as a coherent whole.
