概述
Changzhi and the Taihang
Canyons, villages and heritage of the former Shangdang occupy the highlands of the south-east Shanxi.
To understand what Changzhi and Taihang are, you have to look at the Grand Canyon of Taihang, Temple of Changzhi City and Hongni Village. These places give us a view of a territory marked by urban life, mountain reliefs, forests and heritage and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.

For a stay of 2 to 5 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: conditions to be checked according to the season. A car is usually the easiest way to connect the different sectors. The main sites are generally easy to access.

Nature and panorama
Taihang Grand Canyon
Limestone cliffs, cornice roads and deep valleys cut the massif. Distances, weather and access conditions must be checked before departure; water, warm clothing and time limits remain useful, even in summer.

Temple of Changzhi City
A set of pavilions recalls the historical importance of Shangdang. The place remains culturally sensitive and discovers itself with discretion, without hindering local practices; religious timetables, outfit and photographic rules are to be checked on site.
村莊
Village of Hongni
Stone houses occupy an isolated valley of Taihang. An early-day visit allows you to better observe local usages and the details of the place, while avoiding some of the groups and traffic.
