Culture and heritage
Miller House
The Miller House combines residential modernism with mid-century design in a home that has become a landmark of American architecture. The lines of Eero Saarinen are read in volumes and openings, with clear materiality. It is a short but valuable point to understand Columbus through its 20th century heritage.
Culture and heritage
First Christian Church
The First Christian Church introduces religious modernism into an ancient city centre, with volumes and details designed by the Saarinen House. The structure evokes the architectural transition of the 1940s with a great sobriety. It is a good landmark to understand the spiritual and urban evolution of Columbus.
Culture and heritage
North Christian Church
At Columbus, North Christian Church recognizes its slender arrow and hexagonal plan designed by Eero Saarinen. Inside, the light descends towards a sober, centered, almost hanging space around the altar. The visit mainly talks to lovers of modern architecture, where each line serves the silence of the place.
