Nida and the Curonian Spit

Isthme de Courlande
Courtande's L-Isthmus is a sand tongue between the Baltic and the lagoon, shaped by dunes, planted forests and fishing villages. The place changes with the wind: open beach on one side, calmer waters on the other, twisted pines and colorful houses between the two.

The Dune of Parnidis, near Nida, offers a striking view of the sands, the Courland lagoon and the forests of the Isthmus. Bridges protect a fragile environment, while the sundial marks the summit as an observation point rather than a simple gazebo.
