Ehdaa Historical Site is located at an ancient meeting place near the confluence of Mackenzie and Liard in Fort Simpson. The site evokes Dene Gatherings, Exchanges, Traveller Passages and the sustainable installation of the community on this tip of land. The riverscape helps to understand why this waterfront has been so long.

In Fort Simpson, Mackenzie River The long summer lights often transform the water into a copper mirror. It is a quiet, wide brown tablecloth lined with forest and sand banks. From the shore, the river is used as a route of movement, fishing and refuelling to the north.
