Gangneung and Pyeongchang
East Sea, historic houses, plantations, mountain temples and high plateaus connect the Gangneung coast with the reliefs of Pyeongchang.
To understand what Gangneung and Pyeongchang are, you must look at the side of House Ojukheon, Beach Anmok and Temple Woljeongsa. Place indismissible
House Ojukheon
Ojukheon is a house of the Joseon period surrounded by black bamboos and gardens with Gangneung Linked to the scholar Shin Saimdang and her son Yi I, she gives an intimate approach to domestic architecture and Korean intellectual history.
海灘
Anmok beach
Anmok borders the East Sea by a long beach and a street of cafés facing the horizon. The place is urbanised, but it offers a simple walk at sunrise and shows the contemporary relationship of Gangneung to its coastline.
神廟
Woljeongsa Temple
Woljeongsa hides in the forests of Mount Odaesan, at the end of a very regular tree driveway. The stone pagoda, pavilions and nearby trails make up a peaceful stop that can precede a longer hike in the national park.
