Wooded valleys, granite rocks and yurt camps offer a first natural immersion near the capital.
Rock of Turtle, Aryabal Meditation Temple and Tuul Valley give the most telling landmarks of Gorkhi-Terelj. Together, they form a destination where mountain reliefs, forests, riverscapes and the countryside meet, with atmospheres that change over the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

This recognizable granite formation marks one of the most accessible valleys of the park. The surroundings are frequented, but a short walk is enough to regain more calm. A slow visit allows you to go beyond the only points of view best known.

la Tuul Valley
The Tuul crosses meadows and forests south of the park before reaching Ulaanbaatar. The slopes and moors change with the rains; a local driver remains useful. The weather, altitude and condition of the tracks must be checked before departure.
