To understand what Harbin is, you must look at the Cathedral of St.Sophie, Rue Zhongyang and World of Ice and Snow. These places give us a view of a territory marked by the big city, urban life, heritage and riverscapes and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.

For a stay of 3 to 6 days, a quiet rhythm works well. Also to be anticipated: variable influx depending on the season. The trip can be organised without a car if the drop point and local connections are selected in advance. The main sites are generally easy to access.

Cathedral of Sainte-Sophie
Sainte-Sophie is an ancient orthodox brick church that became a museum of architecture in the centre of St. Harbin. The pedestrian space allows you to appreciate the volumes, particularly legible under the snow or at evening lighting.

Zhongyang line European facades, old shops and paved on the historical axis linking the center to the Songhua. Very busy, it remains useful to read the influence of rail and commercial in the formation of the Harbin.

The winter park builds huge palaces and sculptures every year with blocks taken from the frozen Songhua. Opening, dimensions and dates depend on the cold; technical clothes and heated breaks are indispensable.

Grand théâtre de Harbin
The great theatre of Harbin deploys a white and fluid envelope on the wetlands of the north shore of the Songhua. Outdoor passageways and gazebos allow to observe the building and the river horizon even without attending a show.
