Ancient temples, Great Wall and wooded hills offer a rural counterpoint to the north of Tianjin municipality.
Great Wall of Huangyaguan, Temple Dule and Mount Panshan give the most telling landmarks of Jizhou and Mount Panshan. Great Wall of Huangyaguan
Huangyaguan defended a mountainous passage through a series of restored towers, doors and walls. The steps are supported and exposed; a morning arrival avoids heat and groups. Architectural details are better discovered without haste.
