Artist Point
Artist Point, at the end of Mount Baker Highway, places Mount Baker and Mount Shuksan in the same field of vision. The short trails start from a mineral and snowy setting, often accessible only in summer, with sunsets that color glaciers and ridges.

Whatcom Falls
Whatcom Falls is located in a wooded park in Bellingham, where the creek passes under an old stone bridge before descending in waterfalls. The trails connect basins, small falls and wet undergrowth, making it a very simple escape from nature without leaving the city.

Chuckanut Drive
Chuckanut Drive runs along the wooded cliffs between Bow and Bellingham, with escapes to Samish Bay and the San Juan Islands. The road alternates tight turns, cedar forests, gazebos and access to trails, ideal for connecting the Skagit Valley to the coast without taking the fast axis.

Nooksack Falls
Nooksack Falls occurs in a narrow gorge of the North Fork Nooksack River, not far from the Baker Mountain Road. The water flows from a single jet between dark walls and humid forest; the point of view is short of access, but the noise and depth of the canyon give strength to the stop.
