Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent and Marymere Falls are the most telling landmarks in Port Angeles and Hurricane Ridge. Lake Crescent It lies in a deep glacial valley, surrounded by slopes covered with conifers. Its very clear water takes on dark blue tones near the banks, and pontoons, small beaches and nearby trails make it a peaceful step between Port Angeles Marymere Falls and the Olympic coast.

Marymere Falls It is joined by an easy forest trail from the Lake Crescent area. The trail crosses an old humid forest, passes on small bridges and then climbs to a fine waterfall that falls into a circus of moss and ferns, especially pleasant after the rain.
