旅行日記： Jeyrakh and Ingush Towers

在這一天裡登高望遠。

The towers of Vovnushki, the Erzi complex and the former village of Targim reveal different aspects of built heritage in the Ingush valleys. Tkhaba-Yerdy Church adds a different architectural form. The terrain and position of each ensemble are part of the discovery.

Jeyrakh and Ingush Towers

Natural landscape

Vovnushki Towers

4.5 / 5· HidengoHidengo: 2-hour to full-day outing, excluding transfers

The Vovnushki towers rise on rocky terrain that strengthens their silhouette. An overview reveals the relationship between masonry and land, rather than a single tower or a climbing route.

Natural landscape

Erzi Tower Complex

4.5 / 5· HidengoHidengo: 2-hour to full-day outing, excluding transfers

Erzi’s towers form a group of slender volumes in a mountain landscape. Their arrangement and nearby remains reveal the ensemble’s organisation as well as each tower’s height.

Walk and landscape

Former village of Targim

4.2 / 5· HidengoHidengo: allow 30 min–2 hours in open areas

At Targim, towers and built remains are read alongside the surrounding terrain. The site reveals buildings within a valley landscape, distinct from the Vovnushki towers’ silhouette alone.

Religious building

Thaba-Ierdi Church

4.4 / 5· HidengoHidengo: allow 30 min–2 hours, depending on open areas

Thaba-Yerdy’s walls and openings form a religious-architecture stop in the valley. Facades and roof provide forms different from the neighbouring towers, to be viewed with the site’s historical context.
