Taizhou and Mount Tiantai
Founding temples, waterfalls and ancient maritime villages occupy the reliefs between Ningbo and Wenzhou.
Mount Tiantai, Temple Guoqing and Old Town Linhai give the most telling landmarks of Taizhou and Mount Tiantai. Together, they form a destination where urban life, mountain reliefs, heritage and the coastline meet, with atmospheres that change over the course of the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

Place indismissible
Mount Tiantai
Mount Tiantai is associated with the Tiantai Buddhist school and a long tradition of mountain retreats. Routes, temples and waterfalls are scattered on a massif larger than it appears.

Guoqing Temple
Guoqing is the founding monastery of the Tiantai school, located in a cultivated valley. Its religious activity and sober architecture require a respectful and unhurried visit. Architectural details are better discovered without haste.
Place indismissible
Old town of Linhai
Linhai retains a long wall on the hills and an old street on the edge of the Lingjiang. The ascent of the ramparts gives a more complete reading than the only tourist street.
