To understand what Tillamook and Three Capes are, you have to look at Cape Meares, Cape Lookout and Cape Kiwanda. These places give us a view of a territory marked by the coastline, forests and natural spaces and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.

Cape Meares A small lighthouse, cliffs covered with spruces and views of the rocks of Three Arch Rocks off the coast. Short trails also lead to the Octopus Tree, a tree with multiple branches, in a coastal atmosphere beaten by wind and seabird screams.

Cape Lookout far into the Pacific in the form of wooded spur, with a path that follows the ridge between the spruces. In places, the openings overlook steep cliffs and the ocean on either side; the walk makes sense when the mist rises in plates.

Cape Kiwanda offers a more sandy and brighter coast, dominated by steep dunes and wind-carved sandstone cliffs. From Pacific City, the look is towards Haystack Rock off, the fishermen returning to the beach and Cape Lookout's dark line to the north.

Tillamook Creamery transforms a gourmet stopover into a very visual visit, with the cheese production lines observable behind the windows. It is easily combined with cheddar tasting, generous ice cream and a glimpse of the dairy work that marks this wet and grassy part of the Oregon coast.
