Lake Qionghai
This large tectonic lake bordered by wetlands and walks extends immediately east of the Xichang. Season, wind and water level greatly alter the experience; fragile banks and any local restrictions must also be respected.

Xichang Space Launch Centre
The cosmodrome in the north of the city is one of China's leading satellite and probe launch centres. An early-day tour allows you to better observe local usages and the details of the place, while avoiding some of the groups and traffic.

Old Town of Xichang
Restored alleys, doors and markets occupy the historic centre of this important city of the Autonomous Prefecture of Liangshan. Collections and remains take time to exceed a mere photographic stop; to reserve a sufficient beach helps to understand their regional historical context.
