Two British sovereign zones in Cyprus combine military bases, villages, wetlands and portions of coastline that are unevenly accessible.

Lake salé d'Akrotiri
The salt lake d'Akrotiri occupies a vast wet depression in southern Cyprus, between reeds, salt crusts and discreet military background. In favourable times, pink flamingos and migrants transform the landscape; observation is done from the authorized accesses, without entering sensitive areas.
