概述
Aomori, Jōmon and Shirakami
Jōmon sites, ancient forests and volcanic reliefs reveal the north of Honshū far from the major classical axes.
The discovery of Aomori, Jōmon and Shirakami is structured around Sannai Maruyama, Stone Circles d-Yu and Mount Iwaki. The stay thus alternates between forests, heritage, mountain reliefs and natural areas, giving a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only best known site.

For a stay of 3 to 7 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: transport and openings to be confirmed and weather likely to modify the program. A car is usually the easiest way to connect the different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be verified step by step.

Remarkable location
Sannai Maruyama
Sannai Maruyama gives a concrete vision of Japan Jōmon, with its reconstituted houses, large poles and objects exposed near the original site. The visit speaks of ancient sedentaryness, storage, rituals and daily life without being reduced to museum windows.
Remarkable location
Cercles de pierres d’Ōyu
The stone circles of the D-Yu draw on the ground ritual forms associated with the Jōmon culture, in an open landscape of the Akita prefecture. Their strength comes from sobriety: alignments of stones, grassy space, mountains in the distance and many questions about the gestures that were taking place there.
Remarkable location
Mount Iwaki
Mount Iwaki dominates the plain of Tsugaru with a volcanic silhouette that is often compared to a northern Fuji. Its slopes change strongly depending on the season, between snow, blooms and autumn colors, and the shrines at its base recall its spiritual role in the region of Tsugaru.Aomori.
