Remarkable location
Jura
Jura has a very stripped island Scotland, with the dominant Paps mooring, peat bogs, deer and small coastal hamlets. From Oban or Islay, the crossing leads to a place of walking, whiskey and silence, where narrow roads naturally impose a slow rhythm.
Port
Oban
Oban has the energy of a port facing the islands: ferries, tight facades, salty air and changing horizon on the bay. You can easily pass before or after a crossing, but the city is also valid for a moment at the edge of the water, when the light goes down and the pace of the dock slows down.

Kilmartin Glen
Kilmartin Glen gives the journey an older depth, with its prehistoric traces scattered in an open landscape. It is less like a museum than in a valley inhabited by ancient stones, alignments and graves; the razing light helps to feel the volumes and the place of these remains in the relief.
