Small peaceful Azorian island, between caldeira, mills, thermal baths, vineyards, low coasts and white villages.
To understand what Graciosa is, you have to look at Furna do Enxofre, Santa Cruz da Graciosa and Thermes do Carapacho. These places give us the opportunity to see a territory marked by island landscapes, natural spaces, the coastline and the countryside and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.

Santa Cruz da Graciosa is built around a compact centre where houses, squares and shops keep an island ladder. As we climb slightly inwards, we quickly read how the habitat adapts to the wind and the coast. It is a neighborhood that announces the rhythm of the day on the island without haste.

Ponta da Barca
In Ponta da Barca, the wharfs and the water line naturally guide the walk: boats, pontoons and reflections change every ten minutes. The walker alternates seen below and sea horizon, and quickly understands how the harbour serves as a breath in Graciosa. The place works without a program, simply by observing.
