必去之地
Painted Wall
Painted Wall exhibits a dark wall crossed by clear veins, as if the rock had been scratched with giant lines. From the lookout of the Black Canyon, the verticality of the wall and the depth of the void are measured, with the Gunnison River barely visible at the bottom.
自然与全景
Black Canyon of the Gunnison
Black Canyon of the Gunnison It is impressive by its narrow, dark and steep walls, where the light hardly reaches the bottom. The views of the south shore reveal a canyon that is more severe than wide, carved around a powerful river that is sometimes heard before seeing it.
必去之地
Chasm View
Chasm View brings the visitor closer to one of the narrowest areas of the Black Canyon, where the cliffs seem to fall almost from one block. The lookout gives an immediate reading of the depth and shadow of the canyon, without long walking but with a strong feeling of dizziness.
河流
Gunnison River
The Gunnison River dug the Black Canyon with hard rock, which explains the steep depth and dark walls of the park. Viewed from the viewpoints, it seems thin and distant; at the water level, it becomes a powerful current, linked to fishing, gorges and dams in western Colorado.
