Heritage
Jakar Dzong
The dzong overlooks Jakar from a ridge. Observe its setting and visit permitted courtyards; this is a working complex, not merely scenery.
Heritage
Jambay Lhakhang Temple
This temple is among the country’s ancient shrines. Explore its courtyards with your guide; ritual dances belong to scheduled festivals, not ordinary visits.
Heritage
Kurjey Lhakhang complex
Kurjey’s temples form an important pilgrimage site associated with Guru Rinpoche. Respect prayer spaces and let your guide explain the shrine’s traditions.
Monastery
Tamshing Lhakhang Monastery
Founded by Pema Lingpa, this monastery preserves important paintings and religious traditions. Explore open areas without interrupting services; indoor photography may be prohibited.
