Çanakkale and the Troad
Since the Dardanelles, the Troade has been making a history that goes far beyond the story of the Trojan War. Canakkale serves as a support point for the site and its museum, then for the cities of Alexandria Troade and d'Assos. This area covers the Anatolian shore and requires real movements between its archaeological complexes and its coastline.
Archaeological site of Troy, Troy Museum and Castle of Çimenlik give the most telling landmarks of Çanakkale and Troade. Together, they form a destination where urban life, heritage, coastal and countryside meet, with atmospheres that change over the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

For a stay of 3 to 5 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: Associations and Alexandria of Troade request transfers; the Gallipoli peninsula is not included in this sheet.
