Changbaishan, northern slope
Border volcano, crater lake, cascades and forested areas form the great natural landscape of southeast Jilin.
Changbaishan Sky Lake, Changbaishan Cascade and Luyuan Green Basin give the most telling landmarks of Changbaishan, north slope. Together, they form a destination where mountain reliefs, volcanic landscapes, shores and lakes and forests meet, with atmospheres that change over the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

Lake
Changbaishan Celestial Lake
The heavenly lake fills the caldeira of the Changbaishan on the border between China and North Korea. Clouds and winds often close the summit; shuttles and access depend strictly on the conditions of the day.

Changbaishan Cascade
The waterfall evacuates the waters of the crater lake by a spectacular fall between volcanic rocks and hot springs. The landscaped route remains exposed to cold and heavy traffic during the high season.
Place indismissible
Bassin vert Luyuan
Luyuan is a small turquoise basin fed by a waterfall in the middle of a dense forest on the northern slope. The stop is short but offers a peaceful contrast with the infrastructures and lines of the summit.
