Culture and heritage
Wyoming State Capitol
The Wyoming State Capitol gives to Cheyenne Its civic centre, with a golden dome, classical facades and restored rooms. The visit illuminates Wyoming's political history, including its early role in women's voting, while remaining easy to combine with the city centre.
Culture and heritage
Cheyenne Depot Museum
Located in the former Union Pacific depot, the Cheyenne Depot Museum tells of the city's railway birth and expansion towards the West. Romanesque architecture, station volumes and exhibitions on the trains give a solid stop to understand why Cheyenne developed around the rails.
Culture and heritage
Cheyenne Botanic Gardens
The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens bring a green breath in Lions Park, with greenhouse, theme gardens and plants adapted to the climate of the high plains. The place suits when the weather is rough or windy: sheltered spaces and plantations show another side, more patient, of the Cheyenne.
Place indismissible
Terry Bison Ranch
Terry Bison Ranch plays the map of the tourist ranch south of Cheyenne, with bison, miniature train, meals and family activities. The interest is simple and concrete: approach the herds in an organized setting, without pretending to replace the wild observation of the large parks.
