To understand what Chongqing is, you have to look at Hongya Cave, Three Gorges Museum and Old Town of Ciqiku. These places give us a view of a territory marked by the big city, urban life, riverscapes and heritage and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.

Nature and panorama
Hongya Cave
This tiered commercial ensemble clings to the cliff above the Jialing and reveals the verticality of the center of the Chongqing. An early-in-the-day visit allows you to better observe local usages and the details of the place, while avoiding some of the groups and traffic.

Three Gorges Museum
The collections explain the regional history, the Three Gorges Dam and the human movements associated with its watering. Distances, weather and access conditions must be checked before departure; water, suitable clothing and time limits remain useful, even during the most favorable season.

Old town of Ciqikou
Rules, temples and tea houses occupy an ancient port on the Jialing today, which is very popular with visitors. Collections and remains take time to go beyond a simple photographic stop; to reserve a sufficient beach helps to understand their regional historical context.
