Doğubayazıt
Doğubayazıt is the anchor between the palace of Paşa and the large spaces dominated by the Ararat. The contemporary city stands out from the historic site in height. Admiring the volcano from the piedmont does not imply its ascent, which is part of a high mountain project and administrative conditions to be checked.
The discovery of Doğubayazıt is built around Palace d-Ishak Paşa, Doğubayazıt Centre and Mount Ararat — Ağrı Dağı. The stay thus alternates between urban life, heritage, mountain reliefs and volcanic landscapes, giving a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only best known site.

For a stay of 2 to 4 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: increased vigilance and not including border crossing to Iran. A car is usually the easiest way to connect the different sectors. However, some sites require more walking, elevation or preparation.

Palace of Paşa
On the heights of Doğubayazıt, the palace of Paşa d`Ishak is a residence and administrative office of the Ottoman era. It began in the seventeenth century and continued in the eighteenth century, and is a reflection of the power of a line of Kurdish pashas in the region.

Doğubayazıt town centre
The present town of Doğubayazıt is located in the province of Dğrı, near the Ararat hill. It is the service point of the region, distinct from the old historical complex of the palace located on the heights.

Mount Ararat — Ağrı Dağı
The Ararat is a large volcanic complex dominated by the Great Ararat, the highest point of Turkey, and the Little Ararat. Its glacial peak and its importance in Armenian and biblical traditions go beyond the only landscape of Doğubayazıt.
