概述
Dordrecht and the Biesbosch
Old river town and large pond park, between confluences, boats, reeds and beavers.
Dordrecht, Grote Kerk and Nationaal Park De Biesbosch give the most telling landmarks of Dordrecht and Biesbosch. Together, they form a destination where urban life, riverscapes, natural spaces and heritage meet, with atmospheres that change over the course of the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

For a stay of 2 to 4 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: beesbosch weather-dependent and useful boat. The trip can be organised without a car if the drop point and local connections are selected in advance. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be checked step by step.

Place
Dordrecht
Dordrecht is distinguished by its internal ports, its ancient houses on the waterfront and its position at the meeting of several rivers. The wharfs, bridges and alleyways around the Groothoofd tell of a commercial city that is still very closely linked to currents, boats and brick warehouses.
Heritage
Grote Kerk
The Grote Kerk de Dordrecht marks the city with its massive tower and its large interior, crossed by a soft light. Around the church, the quays and ancient streets recall the trading role of Dordrecht; from the building, one perceives very well the link between stone, water and historic city.
Nature
Biesbosch
The Biesbosch is a freshwater landscape made of canals, reeds, willows and islets that are explored very well by boat or canoe. The experience changes with water level and light, between bird watching, silent slides on the canals and stops on the trails.
Museum
Huis Van Gijn
Huis Van Gijn gives access to local history through his technical stories, exhibition spaces and building frames. By favoring a few strong rooms, the visit becomes clear and avoids dissolving the direction in the length of the journey alone.
