概述
Kananaskis Country
Less urbanized Massifs, lakes and valleys provide a wide alternative to the most frequented areas in Banff.
Upper Kananaskis Lake, Ptarmigan Cirque and Peter Lougheed Provincial Park give Kananaskis Country the most telling landmarks. Together, they form a destination where mountain reliefs, shores and lakes, forests and natural spaces meet, with atmospheres that change over the course of the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

For a stay of 4 to 8 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: conditions to be checked according to the season. A car is usually the easiest way to connect the different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be verified step by step.

Nature and landscape
Upper Kananaskis Lake
Upper Kananaskis Lake extends its cold waters under the ridges of Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, with pebbles beaches, forests and shore trails. The lake tower or simple stops allow to alternate open views, wooded passages and mountain reflections, in a less urban atmosphere than Banff.
Place indismissible
Ptarmigan Cirque
Ptarmigan Cirque offers quick access to a high mountain setting, with alpine meadows, rocks, streams and views of Highwood Pass. The loop is short but exposed to elements; it is suitable for those who want to feel altitude, seasonal flowers and ridges without long approach.
Nature and landscape
Peter Lougheed Provincial Park
Peter Lougheed Provincial Park brings together glacial lakes, forest valleys, passes and trails among the most beautiful of Kananaskis Country. The park attracts hikers, campers and skiers, with a wide and preserved mountain feel, more dispersed than in the most well-known areas of Banff.
