概述
Kanas, Hemu and Baihaba
Alpine lakes, Taiga and Touva villages occupy a spectacular border massif of Altai.
Lake Kanas, Hemu Village and Baihaba Village give the most telling landmarks of Kanas, Hemu and Baihaba. Together, they make up a destination where mountain reliefs, shores and lakes, forests and the countryside meet, with atmospheres that change over the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

For a stay of 2 to 5 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: conditions to be checked according to the season. A car is usually the easiest way to connect the different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be verified step by step.

Lake
Lake Kanas
This long glacial lake is surrounded by taiga and peaks in a busy reserve. Compulsory shuttles and quotas structure the visit, while the gazebos still require stairs.

Village
Hemu Village
Hemu houses wood houses, pastures and forests on the banks of a river of Altai. The village is very touristic, but the morning trails still reveal its mountain setting. A slow visit allows to go beyond the only points of view the best known.

Village
Village of Baihaba
Baihaba is a Touva village close to the Kazakh border, composed of wooden houses. Additional permits and controls may be required; access must never be presumed free.
