Kuşadası and the Dilek Peninsula
Kuşadası offers a coastal base around its port and the fortified island of Güvercinada. In the south, the Dilek Peninsula and the Büyük Menders Delta are forested slopes, shorelines and protected wetlands. The Zeus cave is near Güzelçamlı: it belongs to this Aegean area, not Crete.
Dilek and Büyük Menders Delta National Park, Güvercinada and Kuşadası Sea Front give the most telling landmarks of Kuşadası and the Dilek Peninsula. Together, they form a destination where urban life, the coastline, forests and wetlands meet, with atmospheres that change over the stages rather than a single uniform setting.
