Nangqên
Khampa valleys, monasteries and isolated canyons occupy the mountainous southeast of Qinghai.
Nangqên Monastery, Zaqu River and Nangqên Canyon give the most telling landmarks of Nangqên. Together, they form a destination where mountain reliefs, riverscapes, heritage and countryside meet, with atmospheres that change over the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

Zaqu River
The upper Mekong passes through gorges and pastures before reaching Tibet. The season, wind and water level greatly alter the experience; we must also respect the fragile banks and any local restrictions.
