概述
Ocala and Horse Country
Florida destination centered on beaches, sources, cities, islands and subtropical reserves, useful to cover Florida beyond the Atlantic.
Silver Springs State Park, Ocala National Forest and World Equestrian Center are the most telling landmarks of Ocala and Horse Country. Together, they form a destination where forests, riverscapes, countryside and natural spaces meet, with atmospheres that change over the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

Nature and landscape
Silver Springs State Park
Silver Springs preserves one of the largest artesian springs in the region, with navigational possibilities that reveal fish and the clarity of the water. Glass-bottomed boats are a direct way to look at the bottom effortlessly. The experience is very visual.
Nature and landscape
Ocala National Forest
Ocala National Forest offers a vast patchwork of pines, springs and sand roads that surprise by its diversity. Juniper Springs gives a more intimate entry point to an extended forest. It is an inner Florida far from the seaside clichés.
Heritage
Fort King National Historic Landmark
Fort King recalls the role of Ocala in the conflicts between the American army and the Seminoles, with a rebuilt palisade, simple buildings and interpretive trails. The flat terrain helps to imagine the military post, its constraints and its relative isolation. The site is especially interesting for those who want to put inner Florida in a less seaside history.
