Washington Park
Washington Park climbs in the wooded hills west of Portland and gathers several faces of the city: rose garden, Japanese garden, zoo, arboretum and trails under the conifers. You go from a panorama of Mount Hood to a humid forest in a few minutes, without leaving the city.

Powell's City of Books It has a whole block of houses in the Pearl District and functions as a maze of shelves, colourful rooms and new or used books. It comes as much to search for a precise title as to get lost in the piles, with the very literary energy of the Portland around.

Portland Japanese Garden
On the slopes of Washington Park, the Portland Japanese Garden consists of a series of carefully carved mousse, water, gravel and maple gardens. The views set towards Mount Hood, the low bridges and the pavilions give a slow visit, especially beautiful under the fine rain or autumn colors.

Pittock Mansion
Pittock Mansion dominates Portland From the West Hills, with its wooded lounges, stained glass windows and traces of the daily life of a large press family in the early 20th century. From the gardens, the city spreads at the foot of the hill and Mount Hood often appears in the axis in clear weather.
