The relief organizes the views and streets, much more than a regular plan. The neighbouring village of Yörük allows this architectural reading to be extended in a more rural setting.

Safranbolu retains a fabric of Ottoman houses linked to its former commercial function. The neighbourhoods of Çarşı, Kıranköy and Bağlar show different forms of habitat and seasonal occupation within a world heritage complex.

Built in 1645, Cinci Han is a large caravan in the historic centre of Safranbalu. Its courtyard and its two levels testify to the welcome of the merchants; the nearby bath belongs to the same foundation of Cinci Hoca.

In the east of Safranbolu, Yörük maintains houses and protected streets that prolong the discovery of regional habitat. The large houses, the mosque and the old washhouse give several points of reading of his village organization.
