Salem and the North Shore
Massachusetts destination centered on New England's heritage, culture and landscapes, useful for covering historical state reading.
To understand what Salem and North Shore are, you need to look at Salem Maritime National Historic Site, Peabody Essex Museum and Rockport. These places give us a view of a territory marked by urban life, the coastline and the heritage and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.

For a stay of 1 to 4 days, a quiet rhythm works well. Also to be anticipated: seasonality to check and sometimes important distances. The trip can be organised without a car if the drop point and local connections are selected in advance. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be verified step by step.

Arriving on board the Friendship immediately puts the ladder in the right place: the port as a machine to see the world before the networks. The route keeps a concrete reading of the time.
Culture and heritage
Peabody Essex Museum
The Peabody Essex Museum embraces cultures from Asia, Europe and the Atlantic coast without juxtaposing them: the rooms make Salem's historic roads feel tangible. Historical houses, including the Chinese house, double the experience and give the city a different subject than the classical museums.
