Lake Ögii, Ögii Wetland and Khöshö Tsaidam Memorial give the most telling landmarks of Lake Ögii. Together, they make up a destination where the shores and lakes, wetlands, countryside and natural spaces meet, with atmospheres that change over the course of the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

Ögii Lake
The lake hosts many migratory birds and feeds a small fishing activity. Wind and mosquitoes vary depending on the season; the banks require a discreet approach. Light, wind and season strongly transform the landscape.

Inundable reeds and meadows surround the less developed areas of the lake. Binoculars and patience are more useful than a quick succession of stops by car. A slow visit allows to go beyond the only points of view best known.

The steles of Bilge Khagan and Kul Tigin bear witness to the göktürk empire in the valley near the lake. The small museum protects the inscriptions and gives a historical depth to the stage.
