The notebook of Agadir and Taghazout
Let each bay surprise you.
Agadir combines reconstructed city, large market and memory of the ancient kasbah d'Agadir Oufella. Taghazout brings a surf-related coastline, while the Paradise Valley leads to the mountainous hinterland. To the south, the Souss Massa Park expands the discovery to dunes, steppes and estuaries: these areas require separate excursions.

General presentation
Agadir and Taghazout
Agadir combines reconstructed city, large market and memory of the ancient kasbah d'Agadir Oufella. Taghazout brings a surf-related coastline, while the Paradise Valley leads to the mountainous hinterland. To the south, the Souss Massa Park expands the discovery to dunes, steppes and estuaries: these areas require separate excursions.
Kasbah d'Agadir Oufella, Souk El Had d'Agadir and Taghazout give the most telling landmarks of Agadir and Taghazout. Together, they form a destination where urban life, the coastline, natural spaces and wetlands meet, with atmospheres that change over the stages rather than just one uniform decor.
See all
For a stay of 4 to 6 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: the park is far beyond Agadir; access to protected areas to be checked, without animal observation or guaranteed bathing. The trip can be organised without a car if the drop point and local connections are selected in advance. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be verified step by step.

Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

Heritage
Kasbah d’Agadir Oufella
The kasbah d'Agadir Oufella occupies a height north of the present city. It preserves the memory of the ancient Agadir, which was largely destroyed by the 1960 earthquake, and must be discovered as a heritage site as well as a panorama.

market
Souk El Had d’Agadir
In the heart of Agadir, the Souk El Had brings together food shops, common products and crafts behind a large doorway. Fruit and vegetables are important in a market organized in several sectors.

Walk
Taghazout
Taghazout is an ancient fishing village north of Agadir, which has become a surf destination. The coastline allows us to observe the coexistence between maritime activity, tourism and gliding sports, without confusing the village with the whole bay.

Nature
Souss-Massa National Park
Established in 1991, Souss Massa National Park protects coastal areas between Agadir and the Aglou area. It combines steppes, dunes and wetlands, especially near the Souss and Massa wades, with sectors subject to specific rules.
